What bird species do you board?

We welcome all companion bird species — from budgies, cockatiels, and lovebirds to larger parrots like African Greys and Goffins cockatoos. At this time we are not accepting large macaws, cockatoos, or amazons.

We are not accepting large macaws, cockatoos, or amazons for boarding at this time. We may reopen these tiers in the future.

How much does boarding cost?

Our day rates are: Extra Small (budgies, canaries, lovebirds) $18/cage max 2 birds; Small (cockatiels, green cheek conures) $24/day; Medium (Senegals, quakers, IRNs, sun conures) $26/day; Large (African Greys, Goffins cockatoos) $30/day. 13% HST applies.

Do you require a vet exam?

Yes. Every boarding bird must have an avian-vet health exam within the past 12 months and be deemed healthy. Please bring a copy of the exam at drop-off.

How far in advance should I book?

Ideally 2-3 weeks in advance. Bookings made within 7 days of drop-off incur a $30 short-notice fee.

What do I need to bring at drop-off?

Cage, cleaned travel cage, food for the stay, nighttime blanket, toys/perches if using our loaner cage, completed intake form, vet exam proof, and payment.

Will my bird get out-of-cage time?

Yes — every bird gets individual out-of-cage play time. We don't do shared flock play because it's not biosafe across different households.

Do you hand-feed babies?

No. We do not accept hand-feeding babies for boarding. Please reach out to a specialist breeder for this service.

Can you board a bird on medication?

Generally no. If your bird is on active medication please email us first — in limited cases we may be able to accommodate, but routine medicated boarding is not something we offer.

Where are you located?

Pickering, Ontario. We primarily serve Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, and the broader Durham Region. Drop-off address is shared after booking is confirmed.

How do I get photo updates during the stay?

Just ask. We're a small operation so we can't promise daily updates, but if you email us partway through the stay we're happy to send a photo.

What payment methods do you accept?

E-transfer, credit card, and cash. Payment is due before drop-off.

What happens if there's a medical emergency?

We have a relationship with a local avian vet for emergencies. At booking we'll ask for your preferred emergency contact and authorization for urgent vet care.

Can I tour the facility before booking?

Yes, tours are by appointment. Please email us via the contact form to arrange a visit.

Do you offer pick-up or drop-off transport?

Not at this time. All drop-offs and pickups are arranged at our Pickering location.

What's the cancellation policy?

Cancellations more than 7 days before the stay are fully refundable. Cancellations within 7 days of the stay forfeit any short-notice fee paid. Full cancellation details are shared at booking confirmation.
